The original! The St. Pauli Hot Sauce. This is where it all started in our shared kitchen in 2020.
From fresh, natural, and locally sourced ingredients, we produce the heavenly combination of jalapeño, lime, and garlic.
With its mild spiciness and authentic Central American flavor, the St. Pauli Hot Sauce is also suitable for beginners!
ABOUT US
Our Kiez-Kitchen, a bunch of jalapeños and Stephan. Inspired by the culinary influences of a trip to Central America, he simply cooked a salsa and the whole flat loved it. That was simply the beginning of Papapeño Hot Sauce.
It quickly became clear that this enthusiasm for chili sauces should be taken beyond the boundaries of the flat's kitchen. With the help of the Food Lab and the Accelerator Program, the foundation was laid for this. We now produce in the heart of St. Pauli.
Over time, this wonderful project emerged from a steadily growing community, from which in December 2021, Papapeño Chili GbR was finally founded.
The focus is not on profit, but on communal responsibility, the fun of the project, and the love for chilies. With regionally produced raw materials, we care for our environment. Every batch is cooked with love for you, using only ingredients from the farmer next door.
With this project, we want to bring not only an incredibly delicious salsa & Mexikaner into your life - but also convey a feeling of life that stands for our community: More love, more joy, more respect and simply more life.
A part of our profits goes to refugee organizations.

Except, of course, the limes for our juice.
This way, we always know that we receive all raw materials in the best quality and keep the environmental impact as low as possible.
Our secret ingredient for the Mexikaner… Organic AERE grain liquor, made from the best regional ingredients.
The fresh chilies for our products will come directly from the Bio Hof Grünkorb starting in 2024!
Our fresh garlic comes from the local Heidjer Knoblauch farm in the heath.
